Visited Sammy's Pancake house on a Sunday late morning and I was initially discouraged by the parking lot being mostly full but I was still able to be day immediately. Upon entering, we were promptly greeted and received a booth. Shortly after being sat, our server came, greeted us and provided recommendations as it was our first time. We all ordered skillets, and pancakes and it's well worth it to upgrade your pancake to a speciality type. My skillet and pancakes were amazing and very filling. They also make their own hot sauce which was so flavorful and a nice add to my skillet. I will return and recommend them.

A family owned business with delicious food and friendly staff. Their house hot sauce was so good we had to buy some to go. I highly recommend this business for a casual weekend family breakfast.

Big portions, great service, delicious food, and some delicious pancakes. Came here with a larger group on a weekend but still were served and serviced quickly. Very breakfast focused diner vibe with lots of coffee and lots of menu options. I went with the omelette that had ground beef, onions, peppers, olives and feta - SO good and the right about of salt and flavor. The fact I could get a short stack with raspberry compote was just the ticket for me! With the syrup and whipped cream to boot, it was very dedicant. Some folks in my group got the sausage gravy and highly recommend. Reasonably priced with a relaxed vibe, this was a great find on the road for a large group of people.

Food - In short, there's a lot on the menu, and every time I've ordered, I have enjoyed it. Service - Very nice. Haven't gotten an order wrong yet. They are also attentive at perfect intervals for when I finish a cup of coffee. Ambiance - The place feels larger on the inside but is set up in a comfortable manner. I haven't been when they're super busy, so I'm unfamiliar with how the noise is.

Pretty classic breakfast place that's quite busy Sunday after church but one of the shorter wait times! I got a Philly steak skillet that was filling and good portions! Would definitely want to come back and try the other skillets!

Who would have thought this pancake house would have some of the best French toast you can find in Champaign? In fact it rivals my favorite breakfast/brunch spot... one small complaint would be the smaller size of the cinnamon French toast, but I couldn't take away a star for that because they were nicely executed. The melting butter was mounted on the golden toast and complemented the cinnamon and paired tastily with the syrup. I took a bite and was wowed! This dish came with eggs and hash browns, bacon, sausage, and ham. The bacon and ham were yummy... I am not as much of a fan of the sausage, it just didn't stand out, but I won't take a star away for that. Lastly, the coffee is also nothing to write home about. All things considered, I will definitely come here again for my French toast fix!

Ate here with my cousin when I visited him in Champaign. Tables are never vacant when we were there. The food is really good. The gravy on my omelet is yummy. The place is cozy. The service is awesome especially Olga who is so nice and provides good service. The manager should talk nicer though, he is on a restaurant business and should smile more :-).

Excellent food and service at Sammy's! This particular day we came for lunch. Delicious soup before the meal, I got the ace of clubs sandwich, delicious! Probably the biggest club sandwich I've ever had. Wife had the Ruben and also loved it.

Great breakfast and waitress! Lots of options on the menu - ranging from healthy to 'treat yo self.' Orange juice is tasty and the syrup is warm. Really enjoyed our breakfast - it was a good change from the usual breakfast chains we pick. Bananas were fresh.
